How to sell digital products / downloads

Step 1: Login to Your Shoprocket Dashboard

Step 2: Add Your Digital Product

Once you're in your dashboard, click on the "Add Product" button. This will allow you to fill out the product details:

  • Name: The name of your product.
  • Price: The cost that customers will pay for the product.
  • Category(s): This is where you can group similar products together.

  • Image(s): Add images that best represent your product.

After you've filled in these details, click on the "Downloads" tab in the edit product view.

  • Software - EXE for Windows software, DMG for macOS software, APK for Android apps, IPA for iOS apps. 
  • Games - Similar to software, games can come in EXE, DMG, APK, IPA formats, or proprietary formats depending on the platform.
  • 3D Models / Digital Assets - These can be in OBJ, FBX, or STL file formats, among others. 
  • Documents / Templates - Usually in DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, PPT/PPTX, or PDF formats. These can be resumes, business templates, legal documents, etc.
  • Audio Books - Typically in MP3 format. 

Step 4: Configure Your Store Settings

In your store settings > downloads, you can set the expiry time and download attempts for your digital products. This allows you to control how long the download links are valid and how many times a customer can attempt to download.

Step 5: Embed Your Product
